Pretty much what I told my daughter last week when I walked her home from school. Every day we have our dogs follow us to and from the school, and sometimes fights occur. Our dogs get ahead of us many times, looking for other dogs, as we pass an Army camp close by that has a few dogs, and they always come out to investigate when we pass. The dogs go after ours, and when they get ahead of us, the other dogs continue to follow us, many times coming close. I stop and walk towards them, saying NO firmly, and they usually stop or back off. My daughter asked me what do we do if the dog attacks, and I told her I kill it. I love animals but if it comes to anyone or anything regarding my family, it's going to be them with extreme prejudice. I'll surely be bitten, but dogs have no business attacking people.
