Where to sell lens?

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise what is the best method to sell camera gear in Thailand/Bangkok?

I have a whole bunch of DSLR stuff and lens including some pricey stuff (Nikon 500) and am looking for an easy way to sell that get me a half decent price.

I tried some of the Facebook selling places but had no luck. Tried craiglist but gave up due to too much tire kicking and silly lowball offers.

Has anyone any other experiences/recommendations?

ebay, or try trawling round camera shops in bkk, but i don't think i've ever seen second hand equipment on sale in those shops. or contact photography groups in thailand.

there was a second hand photography equipment sale at fortune mall in bkk last may with many private sellers. contact there maybe they'll be having another.

FotoFile, ground floor, MBK, buys and sells used equipment.

Mega Plaza, Chinatown, has one floor with many used camera shops.

There are also shops scattered around the surrounding neighborhood.

Unfortunately, these shops will be offering "wholesale" quotes.

Find a local forum for your area. Chiang Rai has a local FB page for photos. Chiang Mai has a photo club page and Panorama used camera gear page. Every area has a local sales FB page.

Depending on brand, Facebook has many for sale pages by brand. I have successfully bought and sold on some of them and they seem very active.

Search in Facebook under 'brand name' Market Thailand e.g. Olympus Market Thailand.

After Fractured Rabbit's post, I joined a Thailand Nikon Facebook group. It's all about selling stuff both new and used. Search for your brand on Facebook.
