BANGKOK, 29th September 2018 (NNT) – Parts of Thailand will be hit by thunderstorms and gusty winds from now until October 1st, according to the Meteorological Department.

The national weather agency said that high air pressure from China is bring rain to many provinces of Thailand. The north and northeast will be the first two regions to feel the impact, followed by the east coast and the central plain including Bangkok and its vicinity.

Residents of these areas should be wary of unstable structures, billboards, street signs, and large trees, and farmers should brace themselves for the impact on their produce.

Provinces to be affected include Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Nakhon Pahom, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Sakon Nakhon, Chaiyaphum, Mae Hong Son, Phichit, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, Tak, Buriram, Surin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Sisaket, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Samut Songkram, Sara Buri, and Bangkok.

The general public should keep abreast of the latest weather reports and heed warnings. To get weather updates, please call Hotline 1182.

Just more fake news. Have not had any rain for over a week and water levels are still very low. Lower sections of Korat, Buriram and Surin are hurting. When is this government going to build a water distribution system for isaan and stop dreaming about high speed trains to  nowhere.

I must live in a different Udon Thani to the one on the TMD list.

According to weather.com, we're going to have some rain (PRECIP) tonight, and very little for the next few days.

I know which one has always been more accurate, and it's not the TMD.

Your town not on any klong system coming out of Lam Tahkong reservoir?    That big lake is looking a helluva lot better than it was a year or two ago.

Forgot Nong Bua Lamphu, good rain for 2 days ans some high wind.

Massive storm over Photharam, Ratchaburi 2200 last night, strong winds, heavy rain. 42mm last 24 hours.

Power out for around to hours and this morning many trees down and debris everywhere around my property. Bit of a clean up today.

There has been a huge amount  of rain in Ban Chang already this month so warning of more heavy rain is not a surprise surprise for today.

Hot and dry in "my" area of Udon Thani? going to have to water the garden if the promised rain doesn't arrive today!

Yes, hot and dry in Udon.

I see the latest five-day weather.com forecast shows a 40% chance of some rain for the rest of today, with no more than 20% over the following four days.

Pissed down like crazy yesterday night in Pattaya dark side. The worst year for weather ever, I want my money back.

Not any time soon. I am in the middle of khon kaen, Korat and burriram. most farmers are letting the cows eat the grass/weed/rice in their fields around here. the rain we have had is very sporadic. small bursts and not for long. Our dams are empty as are the water tanks.

I dont bother even looking at the weather forcast as it seemingly is just made up.

i would hope that Government could see the benefit of a major scale water distribution scheme. A large bore pipe and a few pumping stations wouldn't have been to much to add on the rail expansion project from nongkhai. It would transform this region dramatically

Chaing Mai, heavy mist at dawn, bright and sunny from 8am until afternoon, gusty wind at 3pm.

No rain yet.

Heavy Rain for about 2 Hours last night in Nong Khai, But Bright & Sunny ALL Day Today ( Sunday ) & Hot at 35c....

So that's until tomorrow then.. not too much to worry about !

Holy Shi*buckets, that's two hours from now!
