The Bigger Joke's on you - "short sighted" Thai arrested for impersonating military man

5pm.jpg

A man who went online to claim he was "Commander Joke" in the military has been arrested.

Rakchart "Joke" Watcharasathian, 55, was found driving nothing more fancy than a Mitsubishi Lancer.

The family car had lots of military insignia and stickers from navy and aircraft training schools.

He had conned an heiress into believing his stories and she had paid for a 100,000 baht military outfit for him.

"Joke" told Minburi police it was all a bit of fun - he loves the military and was not doing anything wrong. He got all his military gear from shops.

He said he had tried to become a real soldier but was rejected for being short sighted.

Police are investigating to see what impersonating crimes he may have committed.

...so this is what drives many of these people....

...once upon a time, a friend said, '!@#$%^ them....before they can !@#$%^'....

...thought it was the most disgusting thing I had ever heard....

...here it seems to be 'a life philosophy adopted by many'...

...oh well....
