MaiDong
We're trying to get to CM with a small dog(4.5kgs), we don't have a car, so our options are limited. We've used the airline cargo option before but it broke our heart sending our dog off in a cage(where she undoubtedly got thrown around for about 6 hours), so we've ruled out that option. The only option so far is to take a 3rd class overnight train, which doesn't sound very inviting. We've looked at private minibus hire but the price is coming in at a ridiculous price - THB24k. What I'd really like to find is a minibus company who can be hired for single leg journeys at a more reasonable price, any ideas?
KhunBENQ
Do you/partner have a driving license/can drive a car? Don't the big companies offer one way rental (rent in BKK, return in CM)? (not sure for Thailand though) Should be MUCH cheaper than taxi or minivan.
sanemax
Get a bus and tie the dog to the back of the bus and let him run there behind the bus .

Was that with Thai Airlines?

Nope, we don't, my Mum does, who's visiting, but she didn't bring it with her. 2 minutes ago, KhunBENQ said: 6 hours? Was that with Thai Airlines? We had to take her to the cargo terminal earlier than the flight, then wait for her for quite some time after the flight had landed.
