Education Minister instructs OVEC to meet international standard by three months

BANGKOK, 6th November 2018 (NNT) – The Education Minister, Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, has instructed the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) to meet the international standards by three months. 

On Monday, Dr. Teerakiat chaired a meeting to deliver policies and guidelines for steering the national vocational education development to OVEC officials. 

He has instructed the OVEC Secretary-General, Suthep Chittayawong, to push Thai vocational education to meet the international standard. 

He said new vocational education teachers should have gained experiences from the industrial sector, as almost 70 percent of these teachers do not have any experience in this field.

Meet the standards by 3 months. Lol. I just love the deadlines announced by ministers here. I'm surprised he didn't say "by Friday".

In 3 months all will be forgotten an normal service will be resumed.

Maybe 30 years ,doubt it though.

If they really pushed it maybe they could come up with a PLAN within the 3 months.

This failure will become apparent just about the middle of the election campaign. He really should check his calendar before making pronouncements like this.
