webfact
‘Shark in bag’ wasn’t found at Maya Bay By The Thaiger In reaction to the story circulating about the ‘dead blacktip reef shark found dead in a sack’, a Phi Phi diver has contacted us with the following information…. I posted the original photo of the shark in a rice sack that was found by one of my instructors on Sunday, November 4. Your story incorrectly states that the shark was found at Maya Bay, it was not, it was found at a dive site called Malong which is on the west coast of Phi Phi Ley. Does it really matter when the bag itself seems to have originated in Thailand to be part of the garbage stream coming from the fifth largest sea polluter in the world.
