flew out of suvarnabhumi a month ago, had purchased a new laptop a few weeks prior and remembered to get a PP10 filled out.  non-o retirement with re-entry permit.

 

wasn't sure if vat refund was for tourists only, or anyone taking purchased items out of thailand.  no problem at the counter at check-in, didn't even ask to see the laptop.....just passport and paperwork.

 

same at the cash window airside.....free money.

Just hope Immigration don't pull you on re-entry.
