Chonburi immigration arrested two Vietnamese men yesterday after they robbed a compatriot earlier in the week.

Tran Tang, 30, along with his girlfriend, had gone to police on Monday after a lot of property was stolen from his room in Soi Bongkhot, South Pattaya.

Acting on information Chonburi immigration went to the address of Xuan Guy, 28, and Xuan Huong, 33, in Soi Korfai, Bang Lamung.

At the time of his arrest Guy was adulterating pomegranate juice with coloring. The juice was intended for consumption at a leading hotel in Pattaya.

After initial denials of involvement in the theft Huong broke down. He was paid 5,000 baht as lookout while another man who acted as getaway driver was paid about 17,000 baht.

Two phones and 50,000 baht were stolen in the theft following which the gang went to Bangkok.

Huong was found to have entered Thailand illegally several times in the past.

Both men were handed over to Pattaya police for prosecution on theft and fencing stolen property charges.

Sanook did not explain further about the third man or explain why they pictured one of the suspects seemingly stuck in a gate.
