Creed II: Sylvester Stallone strongly hints he will retire Rocky character as he passes on mantle to Michael B. Jordan

Stallone has played Balboa in eight films across five decades

 

Sylvester Stallone has broken the hearts of boxing and film fans all around the world with an announcement in which he all-but retired his character Rocky Balboa.

 

The 72-year-old actor put up an Instagram post following the release of the latest film in the franchise – Creed II – and stated the following:

 

“I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide world for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years.

 

“It’s been my ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character.
