Manhunt launched after Samut Sakhon grocery store drinkers attacked by four men

While a manhunt was launched for the four men who attacked two drinkers seated outside a grocery shop on Saturday night in Samut Sakhon’s Mueang district, police on Monday summoned the store owner and the targeted customers to give testimony.

 

The case got public attention after the grocery shop owner posted a video clip of the incident online.

 

While Mueang Samut Sakhon deputy superintendent Pol Lt-Colonel Pongsiri Kengnok led a team to inspect the scene of the assault in Tambon Mahachai, Pol Captian Suwit Mulsongkiat interviewed the five people involved. 

 

Officers spoke with the 34-year-old store owner, the two assault victims, aged 41 and 38, along with a 33-year-old drinker who escaped the attack, and a 33-year-old friend who had left the group just before the assault and was probably the person the attackers had asked the victims about at the time. 

 

The store owner has asked for police protection out of fear for her family’s safety. 

 

Pongsiri said that police had already identified the four assault suspects from security camera footage and would summon them to provide information, while investigating further to see if they had any accomplices.

 

Police will soon gather together all the evidence along with the victims’ and witnesses’ testimonies in order to apply for arrest warrants for all the suspects, he said, adding that the motive behind the assault was suspected to stem from a previous personal dispute between one of the attackers and the victims’ friend.

Well, you kind of have to say that four people this stupid deserve to go to jail, though they will probably get away with a wai and a petty fine. Stroll into a place with CCTV and drop themselves right in it, when the person they were looking for wasn't even there. Their one saving grace at court will be that the prosecutor can't accuse them of being mafia, because the mafia just ain't that dumb.

Well i would like to know what the dispute was all about...maybe they were right to do this? 

What if that guy raped the gf/daughter of one of them? Or robbed the shop from their grandma...??

So where do YOU draw the line for running around  looking for someone and pointing a gun at anyone in the area. Having a gun and using it in a threatening in public, should be an automatic prison sentence. I have no wish to be shot because they are looking for someone else or the shops takings.

Well if you rape my wife you better hide very well cause i might react more fierce than these guys when i go after you.

They are summoned to report to the police, how do police in other countries deal with armed offenders, we know what they do, in the interest of protecting the local community they go hard.
