My smartphone signal keeps randomly cutting off

I am starting to get paranoid that I may be being hacked or have picked up a virus?

 

Is it normal for an AIS 4G signal to stop working a couple of times a day briefly?

 

I don't ask for much, I just expect a reliable 4G in Bangkok. Maybe I expect too much!

Do you have to enter the SIM code afterwards? My phone had the same problem and the cause was a faulty SIM card slot.

Prepaid SIM cards in Thailand do not have a code to enter (at least by default).

 

To the OP: does it happen even when staying at a certain location or randomly when moving through the city?

Me too - I had this and the shop I go to told me to get a new SIM card.  After that, no more problems.  A friend had the problem too, and we found out he'd had his SIM for fourteen years! New one solved all his problems.

Samsung S5 has a known issue of dropping wifi signal, maybe you have a similar issue?
