Jonathan Fairfield Posted December 25, 2018 Share Posted December 25, 2018 Immigration police detain 87 workers in Tak in holiday clampdown By Somjit Rungjamrasrassamee The Nation, Tak Immigration policemen say they rounded up 87 illegal workers in Tak’s Mae Sot district on Tuesday. These workers are now being detained at the Tak Immigration Centre pending investigation and deportation. The crackdown followed instructions from Immigration Bureau’s chief Pol Lt-General Surachate Hakparn for immigration officials nationwide to scour their areas during the Christmas and New Year period in search of immigration law violations.
