February 21, 200719 yr Wifey says she never seen anything like it before. It looks huge, assuming that's a standard size banana leaf it sits on. It looks to me most like a South American Tarantula. February 21, 200719 yr Yes I concur it looks like a variety of Thai huntsman spider , very beautiful too. Not dangerous [ except to insects ] Nothing like any New or Old world Tarantula.
