Wat Chalong Fair returns for its 111th year

PHUKET: The annual Wat Chalong Fair, held each year to coincide with Chinese New Year, this year will be held from Feb 4-10.

Chalong Mayor Samran Jindaphol as chairman of the fair’s organising committee, announced the dates yesterday (Jan 10).

The fair has been observed for 111 years, Mayor Samran pointed out.

I can't really afford (as in time rather than money) to delay things any longer hoping Qatar will be flying on the 28th so I've cancelled it and booked Hainan via PEK... Cost me approx 11K THB more (a lot of airlines we're asking approx 250K which is 3x what I'd paid for my original ticket), outbound leg is 7 hours longer & I'm flying with (IMHO) a substandard airline compared to Qatar but at least I'll get back to see my family as planned.

Yes, the Kurds were betrayed by the west. Now, they are expected to take on Iran. The Kurds have had remarkably good relations with Israel. They are not Arabs and there is a large Kurdish community in Israel . They are like the Druze in that regard.
