rooster59 Posted January 26, 2019 Share Posted January 26, 2019 Myanmar gang arrested in Bangkok for selling fake "Karen" ID Image: Immigration Bureau website The Immigration Bureau website reported that four Myanmar nationals had been arrested in Bang Khun Thian near Bangkok for producing fake IDs for Karen tribes people. The gang were charging 5,600 baht (5,500 baht for the ID and 100 baht for a lanyard). They told their gullible customers that the ID could be used instead of a passport and work permit. The case came to light after an employer reported his suspicions to immigration. Three men in their thirties and a 24 year old woman - all from Myanmar - are in custody after a raid on a rented room in Bang Khun Thian.
