webfact
"They never admit they're wrong" - cop speaks out after dangerous expressway stunt A policeman went online to condemn crazy behavior on the roads after several photographers were filmed taking pictures of another car on the Buraphawithee expressway. The pictures on "Red Skull" - a site that helps victims - showed the men in a hatchback with the hatch open leaning out taking pictures of another Honda Civic. A thousand people shared the story with many condemning the photographers for potentially causing an accident to innocent road users. One slamming the irresponsible behavior was policeman Kitti Dumrongpalasith who said he was a cop in Kukot, Lamlukka, Pathum Thani. He said that people like these photographers often claimed that they are causing do harm to anyone else. They won't even admit it when other people are dead. And they can't admit it when they are dead themselves! Getting nearly 1,000 likes and reactions to his post he said: "I am the one who has to call relatives to say their loved one is dead. It is not easy". Source: Manager Online -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2019-01-
notasmartassknowitallfarag
Not many Thai people do, they sugarcoat things or just blatently ignore things in case they might lose face.

Sir Dude
Not sure what they are trying to achieve photographing that piece of junk (from another piece of junk)...unless they are trying to impress the lower rungs of the no-hoper car wanna-bee types. As an aside, shouldn't be too hard to track down the red Honda garbage truck from the plate...pretty clear, then toss the silly Somchais in the slammer to cool off. Should give them 2 weeks just for possessing such a crappy car.

Probably not much these days, with the emphasis on Occ, Health and Safety. Look closely at car shows on TV, you'll notice small cameras like GoPros mounted on the vehicles. spidermike007
I have run into many people who, when faced with blame, and their creation of a tragedy due to stupidity or neglect, revert back to denial, and inability to take it like a man. Face is no doubt, the greatest form of weakness, a human can engage in. Many will say it is societal, cultural, etc. No matter. It is the absolute and complete lack of the ability to introspect, and look within for the source of any problem, shortcoming, conflict, or issue. It is the polar opposite of spirituality, and therefore an absolute scourge on Buddha, and all of the precepts he taught. By practicing face, you are denying your spiritual heritage. You are refusing to man up. To take responsibility for your actions. If a man or a woman cannot, and will not take responsibility for their actions, the problems they create, the mistakes they make, and the issues they involve themselves in, what are they? Are they still an adult? Are they a complete individual, if they allow themselves to be limited by such infinitely small social convention? Face is rife with self doubt, and by subscribing to this weakness, and man or woman is made a far lesser person. For those of us with high self esteem, we know who we are. What others think, what society thinks, what a guy or gal thinks, means less than zero. Real men or women, simply own a situation, and take responsibility for their errors or mistakes. Small men, social deviants, or emotional adolescents deflect, obfuscate, attempt to confuse, and do everything in their power to deny that they made a mistake, or that they are responsible in any way, or on any level. They make up narratives about fake news, or alternative facts. Anything to avoid looking within, for the source of the problem. Anything. They attempt to avoid introspection, self reflection, or contemplation of a problem they are responsible for, at all costs.

It stops people from commenting about something too, like complaining about food hygiene or beeping the horn for dangerous drivers or bad manners of other people pushing in queues, or bus drivers using a phone and people sneezing over other people. And complaining about corruption or pollution. Ahh that feels better, I got it off my chest.

Rooster Something that isn't one of 2000 identical models banged out every year is one answer. The other answer is a car you choose to fit in with your needs and intended use. Want and need to drive 5 miles to work and back buy a mini. Want to do long distance touring buy a larger more comfortable saloon. Want to try and impress the great unwashed go into HP debt for years and buy a German taxi ( Mercedes BMW etc )
LetsCleanUpTHAILAND
Fantastic article! A big high-five to policeman Kitti Dumrongpalasith for spreading awareness. Some suggestions: Penalize picture uploaders of such photos with a X,XXX THB fine. Impound the cars of both parties responsible on site if caught without bail. Add this type of stuff into the Do-Not portion of the driver's test exam. Can we make this happen?
