127,800 meth pills found in Bangkok soi

About 127,800 methamphetamine pills were found abandoned on a soi in Bangkok's Bang Khunthian district on Wednesday.

 

Pol Maj Phanupong Thongnarin, the crime suppression inspector for Tha Kham, said residents found four fertiliser bags left near a power pole in the middle of Soi Tha Sai.

 

Police inspected and found meth pills printed with the WY mark and wrapped with paper with the "999" logo.

 

Phanuponng said a courier might leave the drugs at the spot to be picked up by another courier or a buyer.

 

He said police would check security cameras to try to identify who left the bags.
