Re-entry permits

Featured Replies

I currently live in Thailand, with a non-imm 'B' visa and a work permit.  I plan to visit some other southeast Asian countries during the school break in March and/or April.  I know that I need to get a re-entry permit, so that I can get back into Thailand after my trip.  I plan to visit Singapore and Myanmar, and some flights (between Singapore and Myanmar) involve a flight connection in Bangkok.  So, my main question is: Will my re-entry permit be "consumed" if I make a flight connection in Thailand, while enroute from one out-of-Thailand country, to another out-of-Thailand country?  I want to save my re-entry permit for when I'm finished visiting both out-of-Thailand destinations.

I'd greatly appreciate any info you may have, regarding this.  Thanks.

In the situation you outline, you would need a multiple re-entry permit, or to purchase a new single re-entry permit each time you pass through immigration to leave the country.
