Trump steps up attacks on Pelosi for opposing border wall funds

Arguing about Trump used to be interesting, sometimes humorous, often heated. It's now at the point where polarization is essentially complete. Even Ann Coulter admits in public he's a complete liar. She said on Bill Maher "He promised [the wall] for 18 months and he lied about it!" What Trump supporters wanted was someone who would ignore the elite, an admirable and refreshing perspective for a potential president. Instead he turned out to be an illiterate narcissist who has a distant, tangential relationship with reality. This has turned dangerous, costly, and will end badly. If he finally gets exposed for the fraud he is with hard evidence (like what happened with "Trump University") we will have suffered. If he continues with his nonsensical tyrannical presidency, we will suffer more. Ah well, isn't the first Noble Truth "Suffering, pain, and misery exist in life?"

Pelosi is completely out of touch with reality.

Has a wall around her property (s) but refuses to come to grips with the crime pouring over the southern border.

Like all politicians around the world. They have security, nice income packages, never have to worry about enforced retirement, and live a very privileged life.

Do as we say not as we do is most if not all politicians mantra - regardless of left, right or center.

That attitude and a willingness to ignore reality and deny the truth are the skills politicians need these days,

This wall is gonna be how deep.? Did I write gonna,? must be the American influence of the stupid subject matter

Most drugs & people come through tunnels 20 metres under the surface don't they ?

No they mostly come via legitimate border crossings. As do all potential terrorists.

You also missed the fact there is no wall around her house?

You think a wall around the house is the same as a wall on a border?

No, except for moving marijuana through tunnels.

  • The majority of illegal drugs enter the United States in an assortment of vehicles, with drugs hidden in secret compartments in door panels or the roof, gas tanks, tires and even engines.
  • Cargo trains, tractor-trailers and passenger buses have been used to move illegal drugs. Trucks and trains carrying fresh produce such as watermelons, limes and other fruits and vegetables have been used to bring in narcotics.
  • Border Patrol and other law enforcement agents have encountered smugglers using ultralight aircraft to conduct drug drops.

The majority of illegal immigrants come from overstays after obtaining visas through border points of entry.

Americans don't understand ,the dope business is fueled by demand not supply. Pouring money into law enforcement has failed miserably. Time to try something new ,education and rehabilitation.

I knew Trump would fold, during his self created "Trump wall shutdown crisis". He could not handle the huge drop in approval numbers, and he was totally taken off guard, that most of America blamed him, and only him for the "Trump wall shutdown". It was his fault on every level. He fabricated a crisis, then got caught with his pants down, when he declared war on the new congress, and the American people. Now, he looks weak, and dumb, all accurate presumptions.

Going up against Pelosi was a real mistake. It was before, and it will be again. Some things this guy just does not learn. He always defaults to his bully tactics. Not going to work with Nancy. Pelosi made Trump look naive and stupid before. And she is about to do it again. He is a terrible negotiator. She is masterful. He is of modest intelligence. She is very sharp. Aside from insults, he doesn’t really know how to deal with assertive older women, because for his entire life they have existed outside of both his immediate view and his broader imagination. When he talks about “women”, it’s obvious that only a small subsection of them fit into his definition; some might have qualified, but by virtue of challenging him can be written off as bimbos; a few others are witch-like hags who have surrendered their claim to womanhood; and the rest are simply invisible. The women of Trumpworld have a single role, and that is to say “yes”. Trump has long bought and paid for that acquiescence. Now, Pelosi is telling him no, and she has real power and can’t be ignored, replaced or waved away. They aren’t in direct competition (as he was with Clinton and Fiorina), so he is less able to leverage more generalized public sexism to win his battle against her. He’s used to women helping him feel like a big man. Now, here’s a woman who makes him look small and impotent.

Which is why Trump will respond the only way he knows how: with feeble insults and exclamation-point-laden letters. Pelosi played it cool. She knows how the rules work and how the system operates, and she’s no stranger to condescending men who insult her before they vastly underestimate her. Trump, on the other hand, has never had to work directly with a woman like Pelosi, and seems completely perplexed by her behavior, which is so different from that of all the other women in his world. She knows what she’s up against. He can’t seem to tell what species she is. And it usually ends poorly for the man who can’t tell a kitten from a lion.

Hence, a total surrender. Nancy beat his butt. Watch her do it, over, and over, and over. Will he ever learn? He is a fairly old dog, and it is possible he just cannot learn any new tricks.

Let's call the barrier "Peaches" Does that work for you?

It would be more appropriate to call it "Orange" in deference to it's creator.

Oh, you're referring to the barrier as described by the experts. A 240 mile barrier in 14 strategic locations to minimize the smuggling of aliens and drugs. Orange sounds good to me.

Most of which come through legitimate border crossings. i.r.o. 90%.

Yep, "The Orange Folly" sounds good.

Please stop with the bickering.   According to most sources, most illegal drugs being trafficked into the US, come through the Ports of Entry.   A percentage would be a best guestimate, but here are a couple of sources that back up the fact that they come through legal ports:

Here is another link that talks about information from the El Chapo trial.  He uses a large number of tunnels for smuggling drugs.   Again, how much crosses at ports and how much through tunnels is not know.
