Thetyim
If the husband does not agree then you have to go through the courts. If he has not supported his wife for 12 months then you can apply for a divorce. The court case will take ages, expect two years. This is why most couples come to an agreement. She might have to pay him.

Neverburi Do you think the husband is angling for money to go to the Amphur for the divorce. It is a present yourself there ( both parties ) thing, not just a signature thing. lopburi3
Why husband has to agree i'll never know. What planet are you from? If you want an uncontested divorce both parties have to agree. If not you use the court. Same as most countries. If she has the goods on him she should use it (other wife/children) but if not she will probably have to offer something or be prepared to wait as it is a loss of face for him. If both parties agree it is a meeting before District officials and signing of division of property (this is a common property state) and divorce. If someone hasn't contributed or lived together for more than 5 years surely their not stuck together for ever. Been through a divorce myself rather simple do it yourself proceedure however no property or kids together, and no one contested.
lopburi3
and no one contested. But that is exactly the key here. He does contest. Get him to go along and it will be a walk in the park.
