Accident Motorbike Theft Gang Crashes and Flees, Leaving Accomplice Dead
Picture courtesy of Daily News. A member of a motorcycle theft gang met his end after a high-speed ride went disastrously wrong, with the stolen bikes crashing. The gang members fled the scene, leaving their companion to die alone in the road. According to Mr. Sitthichai Samrit, head of the Naphrao community in Moo 5, Surasak subdistrict, the incident was first reported by local resident Mr. Wicha Chimchan 29, who witnessed a group of young men riding motorcycles at high speed near Soi 29/15 off the Sriracha–Nong Kho road. One of the riders initially lost control at a bend and crashed. Mr. Wicha reported that the group consisted of a number of motorcycles. After that first crash, the other motorcycles circled back. One individual rummaged through the crashed bike, removing documents and parts of the vehicle’s plastic body, before fleeing with all the others and abandoning the wrecked bike. Authorities were then later alerted by the Sawang Prateep Sriracha Rescue Foundation to a second crash, approximately two kilometres away, near the Wat Huai Yai Phrom–Kang He Cemetery road in Bang Phra subdistrict. Police from Sriracha Police Station and medics from Samitivej Sriracha Hospital responded to the scene. There, they found three more Honda Wave motorbikes, lacking number plates and ignition keys, lying in a heap after a multi-vehicle collision. A white Nissan Frontier Navara with Bangkok plates was parked at the roadside. In front of the vehicle lay the body of a young man, aged about 20, with severe head trauma and no form of identification. The pickup truck driver told officers that a large group of motorcycles, possibly 10 or more, had approached from the opposite direction at high speed. Several of the bikes became entangled, causing a mass crash. The deceased rider was thrown into the path of the pickup truck. Other gang members scrambled to recover some of the crashed motorcycles and others fled into nearby forested areas when they could not retrieve the remaining crashed bikes. All of the recovered motorcycles were confirmed as recently stolen, taken from various parts of Sriracha the night before. Police believe the gang had planned to deliver the stolen bikes to a buyer but crashed en route. Officers from Sriracha Police’s investigation unit are now examining CCTV footage and forensic evidence in a bid to identify and arrest the fleeing suspects. Ok, I will bite. I would of course expect a similar well arguedessay from yourself as to why you believe Dr Markovsky, ie evidence that you have independantly verified his claims and interpretations. If you don't, I will conclude that you are not "manly", and therefore are effeminate (since this is how you view the world). Markovsky basically attempts to question the legitimacy of Ukraine as a sovereign nation, contending that Ukraine was artificially constructed, largely due to the actions of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and others, and suggests that its future is uncertain, possibly destined to fragment and be subsumed by its neighbouring powers. But he overlooks key historical facts and the profound realities of Ukraine’s identity, sovereignty, and resilience. His argument is deeply reductionist, because he brazenly ignores a 1000 years of history in order to fit his Russophile world view (your academic hero is a 81 year old Professor of Marxism, who contends that America has adopted Bolshevik principles and never defeated Communism, and has frequently defended Putin). Ukraine’s history can be traced back to the Kievan Rus, which emerged in the 9th century, which laid the foundation for the modern Ukrainian identity. To decry that is to question the legitimacy of the United Kingdom, because Boudica was a long time ago. The Ukrainian people have long inhabited the lands that make up today’s Ukraine, with a distinct language, culture, and identity that predates both Soviet and Nazi interventions. The idea that Ukraine’s sovereignty is merely the result of 20th-century political machinations disregards this long history of Ukrainian statehood, language, and culture. Your Marxist hero's critique hinges heavily on the Soviet legacy, particularly the role of Lenin and Stalin in the formation of the Ukrainian SSR. Ukraine's post-Soviet independence was not a mere continuation of Soviet designs. Many Ukrainians have long resisted Soviet domination, particularly during the Holodomor, a man-made famine orchestrated by Stalin that killed millions of Ukrainians, and during the mass purges that targeted Ukrainian intellectuals and nationalists. Ukraine's aspirations for independence existed long before the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Ukrainian People's Republic is evidence enough of early effort toward independence in the moden era, even if that movement was ultimately crushed by your Hero's Bolshevik forces. The persistent desire for sovereignty persisted throughout the Soviet era, culminating in the 1991 independence referendum, where over 90% of Ukrainians voted in favor of independence, a clear rejection of Soviet rule. Your own country rejected British Rule; are you saying the United States of America is not a legitimate country? Are you now suggesting the Republic of Ireland has no legitimacy? Taiwan has no legitmacy? Israel has no legitimacy. I hadn't taken you as someone who was anti-Jewish. Well well. Markovsky’s inclusion of Hitler in the formation of Ukraine’s national identity is both misleading and problematic. The Ukrainian Insurgent Army fought against both Nazi and Soviet forces in a quest for Ukrainian independence. The idea that Ukraine owes its existence to Nazi Germany ignores the fact that the Ukrainian people, like many others in Eastern Europe, were victims of Nazi imperialism. Further, after the war, the Soviet Union effectively reasserted its control over Ukraine, quashing any attempts at full autonomy. To suggest that Ukraine’s modern identity owes anything to the Nazis is not only historically inaccurate but offensive to the millions of Ukrainians who suffered under Nazi occupation and later under Soviet rule. One of the key flaws in the effing Commie's argument is the suggestion that Ukraine’s sovereignty is fragile and destined to fragment into neighboring countries. Your Bolshevik Best Friend overlooks the 2014 EuroMaiden and the subsequent Revolution of Dignity. These protests were not orchestrated by foreign powers but were a direct expression of the will of the Ukrainian people to forge their own path. Commies try and say otherwise. When did you stop being a Commie? Moreover, Ukraine has faced unprecedented challenges in recent years, particularly with Russia’s annexation of Crimea and its ongoing military aggression in eastern Ukraine. Yet, despite the ongoing conflict, Ukraine has not only preserved its sovereignty but has also strengthened its identity as a nation. Far from fragmenting, Ukraine has exhibited remarkable unity and a strong sense of national identity. Thus this Markovsky tosser is a loser. Markovsky’s claim that Ukraine will eventually fragment and be absorbed by neighboring countries neglects the powerful dynamics of national identity and the geopolitical landscape. The people of Ukraine have decisively rejected Russian attempts at subjugation, and the country’s strong desire for integration into the broader European community, not to fragment or regress into a subordinate state. Your Commie loving hero's aarticle offers a narrow and historically inaccurate interpretation of Ukraine’s formation and future. Ukraine is not merely a creation of 20th-century authoritarian regimes; it is a nation with deep historical roots and a strong, resilient identity. So, go ahead. Why do you think a Commie is correct? Why are you reading Commie articles? Who is sending you obscure commie articles? When did you stop believing in Bolshevism? I predict you are a melt. -

Fire School Blaze Destroys Science & Computer Rooms in Chachoengsao
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A fire swept through a school in Bang Nam Priao district in the early hours of the morning of 6 July, gutting the science and computer rooms, causing extensive damage. Police at Bang Nam Priao Station were alerted at around 04:00 to a fire at Mon Thong Witthaya School, Moo 7, Mon Thong Subdistrict. Firefighting teams from several local agencies, including the municipalities of Bang Nam Priao and Bang Khanak, as well as the Mon Thong and Singto Thong subdistrict administrative organisations, were immediately dispatched to the scene. Firefighters arrived to find flames engulfing a two-storey school building. The blaze is believed to have originated in the science laboratory before spreading rapidly to the neighbouring computer room. It took approximately one hour and seven fire engines to bring the fire under control. According to Mr. Suwit Salehmad, 52, the school’s caretaker, the fire was first noticed just before 04:00, after a neighbour alerted him to visible flames. “I saw the fire from a distance and rushed to the school,” Mr. Suwit told reporters. “I tried to put it out using a fire extinguisher, but the flames were too strong and I couldn’t get close.” The damage includes the complete destruction of laboratory equipment, chemical supplies, computers, desks and a television. The roof of the building also collapsed during the fire. Police investigators have begun examining the scene but say the cause of the blaze has not yet been determined. Crime Southern Violence Escalates: Police Officer Shot Dead in Yala, Car Torched in Narathiwat

At approximately 9:50, Sergeant Thanyathep Sikkhachan, a traffic police officer from Krong Pinang Police Station, was fatally shot outside a convenience store in Moo 7, Krong Pinang subdistrict, Yala province. The assailants, whose number remains unknown, approached the officer and opened fire at close range, striking him in the head. He died at the scene. Sgt. Thanyathep had been on active traffic duty and was not involved in any high-risk operations at the time of the attack. Authorities are investigating the incident and reviewing security footage to identify the attackers. Just over an hour earlier, at around 20:55, a separate incident unfolded in Narathiwat province. Rangers from unit 4608 responded to reports of a burning car near the Balo Bridge in Rue So district. The vehicle, a Nissan Sylphy had been abandoned and set alight approximately 300 metres from the bridge. Initial investigations suggest the incident may have been intended to lure security forces into a trap. Earlier the same day, insurgents detonated an improvised explosive device targeting rangers from unit 4516 in Rangae district, injuring two soldiers. The spate of violence continued in neighbouring Pattani province, where an armed attack earlier that evening left the younger brother of a local paramilitary volunteer (Or Sor) dead while riding a motorcycle home. Security sources believe the burned car may have been linked to a planned car bomb attack. Intelligence received prior to the incident had warned of a potential vehicle being acquired by militants for use in future assaults. Authorities are treating the incidents as part of a coordinated effort to destabilise the southern provinces, which have long struggled with separatist insurgency. Security has since been heightened across Yala, Narathiwat, and Pattani.
