Easy SETV extension question

Featured Replies

Just want to confirm that I don't need to wait until the final day of the 60 to get my 30 day extension?

Also I assume the extension will be dated from the day I extend, rather than the end of the original visa?

Cheers

You can apply for an extension up to 2weeks early. The extension dates from the end of your current permission to stay(stamped in your passport). The visa is used and is of no further use.

You don’t need to wait until the final day. How early you can apply will depend on the office. You should have no problem applying within the last week.

No. Day 1 of the extension will be day 61 regardless of how early you apply.

How long do you usually have to wait to collect your passport after you make the extension application successfully?

It will be returned to you before you leave the office. They are done while you wait for it to be completed.
