Video: Two drunk soldiers and a wedding - deserter "pulls rank"

A woman posted a three minute video of two drunk men at a Thai wedding one in a green shirt and one in white.

 

The one in green lets off a gun to threaten people. 

 

The one in white challenges a man filming him. He says he wants to be famous, go ahead and film and put it on Facebook.

 

Sanook said he was also armed. He can be seen on a pick-up roof with a gun.

 

The men claimed to be soldiers but were not interested in talking to anyone "below the rank of colonel". 

 

The three minute video was widely viewed on Thai social media. 

 

In latest developments an air force spokesman said that one of the men was a deserter.

 

Pongsak Semachai said that the airman was currently under investigation after going AWOL in the middle of last year. 

 

He asked the press to let the investigation run its course.

I must have gone colour-blind.

From what I remember I thought it was red shirts and yellow shirts that should be fighting?

So this is why my embassy sent me a msg yesterday that Thailand is not safe anymore.

Difficulty is there are only common as muck generals in the army now and the only colonel available was on the side of a bargain bucket at KFC ????

Would this be the same army that is going to man the polling booths in a few weeks? The same army that will drive the tanks into Bangkok if there is any trouble?
