Time remaining after cancelling ED Visa?

Featured Replies

I have a ED visa through a university. If I want to cancel this I was told by my university that they will give me a letter and that i take this to immigration in bkk and they will cancel the visa. However, How much time do you have once this is done that you can remain in the country? Essentially do I have to fly out of the country the day it is cancelled? Or do I get a couple of days around it to do so?

Thanks

You aren’t given any time to leave. Your permission to stay will end on whatever date the university state in their letter - regardless of when immigration are informed. You could apply for an extension of stay, but as one isn’t available, they would give you 7 days to leave the country.

You can go to immigration a few days to the date on the letter and the will post date the cancellation to that date.

If not you need to leave the country on the date it is canceled or apply for a extension pay 1900 baht and be granted 7 days to leave the country after it is denied.

Yes

If you go before the cancellation date it will be postdated to that day.
