Doing some I-trading

Featured Replies

I have an account with Bangkok Bank so Bualuang securities would be an obvious choice. Is their interface in English any good?

What I'd also like to know regarding trading in Thailand is this: when you buy or sell shares, do they send you snail mail each time or is there a 100% paperless option? I'm out of Thailand 5 months a year so getting paper mail is something I want to avoid.

It’s a few years since I used a Thai broker, but, from memory, it’s a regulatory requirement for Thai brokers to send a physical contact to the customer, in addition to any electronic confirmation. Indeed as is the case in many other countries.

There have been previous threads where kasikorn trading has had good reviews. I find the Thai banking system far superior and more advanced than the UK so would expect paperless option would be available. Ive never received a bank statement in 15 years of living here. I use IG in the UK which is totally paperless.

Collecting dividends as a foreigner is complicated.  I was told I had to go to the kimeng office and pay 50 THB to get a purchase ready to collect dividends, even though they already knew u were foreign, when you opened the account and bought the stock.  Much less trouble to trade in the us, even only spending three weeks per year there.  It is kind of typical..rules for foreigners do not apply to them, so they just make stuff up.

Can't assist. But would you mind keeping this thread updated on what you find.

I use the K- cyber trade app with kasikorn. In my opinion it is excellent and easy to use. All trades are paperless but with all my dividend payments, although the payment is paid straight into my bank account, I do receive a paper notification for each and every one of the payments I get. This comes from the SET itself so not sure how you would cancel this

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Edit, this comes from TSD( Thailand Stock Depositary) not SET
