snoop1130
Pet Sematary spoils its main twist in the trailer – and it ruins the Stephen King remake BY IAN SANDWELL KERRY HAYES / PARAMOUNT It's always tricky to surprise people when you're adapting a well-known book that has already had a movie made about it. That's exactly the task that was facing writer Jeff Buhler and directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer when it came to bringing Stephen King's Pet Sematary to the screen again this year. The thing is, they would have managed it if the movie's second trailer didn't reveal their big change to Pet Sematary, ruining any chance of it having an impact. Just in case you're a trailer avoider and you haven't read the interviews the filmmakers have given about it, spoilers await after the photo. quandow
Movies made from King's novels have been hit and miss, but the original "Pet Cemetery" was one of the best. Why can't they just leave well enough alone? Has Hollywood COMPLETELY run out of imagination?
