i've set up my fixed deposit account with kbank and done a micro transfer to check the routing from my uk bank via OFX to my kbank account. the money has arrived and shows as TRN in my bank book.

 

so i go to ask the kbank staff is there any way i can show that the transfer was international. both the bank staff and English speaking call centre told me it was impossible to make an international transfer to a fixed deposit account. despite showing them proof in the bank book that i had made such transfer they kept saying it was impossible...

 

they also told me i couldn't get an emailed bank statement for a FD account.

 

can anyone shed any light on this?

 

how can i show a transfer to my kbank FD account is international when i go to immigration?

Perhaps transfer it to your savings account.  Then transfer to your fixed deposit account later.
