A female driver has sustained minor injuries after driving into the back of a trailer carrying a backhoe in Krabi. Emergency responders headed to the scene of the accident on Monday night in Krabi City.

They arrived at the scene to find a wrecked sedan that had collided with the back of a truck which had a backhoe on its tray. Luckily, the 29 year old female sedan driver had sustained only minor injuries as a result of the collision. She told rescuers she had survived as she was carrying a sacred amulet.

If she were a genuine ‘Hi-So’ she would have had one of the super-reliable “Prevent Automobile Accidents” amulets. But…these are considerably more expensive than the ordinary “Survive Automobile Accidents” amulets and usually beyond the reach of common people.

Maybe she should invest in one that prevents you from driving into the back of a truck, rather than one that saves you from injuries. ??

Is there like a standard or ranking for these amulets as this one is described as sacred and almost certainly prevented death and mutilation .. But if one was described as say tacky or cheesy would it come up short if you had to call on its magic protective powers leaving you quite possibly decapitated or worse even .. I've had a look through Which mag' but no mention of Amulet ratings there ..

If she was indeed in possesion of the said lucky charm i doubt very much if it was amongst the top ten rated amulets otherwise she wouldnt have drove into the rear end of a trailer in the first place, would she?

she would have ‘luckier’ to have avoided the collision in the first place, chiefly by keeping her eyes open

Intelligence is not measured by education or acknowledgement of physical science. Superstition, belief in magic and religion are interesting alternatives.

Many Thai vehicles now come with 5 large sacred amulets (and 2+ sacred sick bags.) But just remember to observe the proper sacred protocols, such as actually putting them on and paying proper respect to the Pee Thanon Unterai Mak at the same time. Those on two wheels can also adorn a sacred mitre. Who says nothing is sacred here!

And the really expensive amulets come with their own air bag, usually an idiot driver.
