mockingbird
I'll be arriving i Bangkok on a non - immigrant B visa in a couple of weeks. Do I need 20000 in cash, as is required on tourist visas? I'd rather not carry a wad of cash halfway accross the world. ubonjoe
The 20k baht is required for all visa entries. But it is very unlikely you will be asked to show when entering with a non-b visa.

However, as said, the chances of you being asked to show 20K when entering with a Non Immigrant visa a pretty much zero.
Prince77
Ups - I also have a non - Immigrant B and was never asked .Travelling in- and out about every 8 weeks. It surprised me that this condition should be applicable for that visa type, too as the non- immi - B usually will be go along with a work Permit, which means you work and will have income. Usually I carry around 20K with me on anytime (you never know) but sometimes it is only 10 or 15K - so surprised to learn that this should be a condition.
