He's already in the UK but plans to move company and is hoping to have his wife (Also a Thai national) join him for the duration of his one year contract. However when going through the application for Tier 2 Dependent he got to the IHS surcharge and it was asking for 3 years worth of payment. It's quite possible he's made a mistake on the application but I just wanted to do an idiot check. - Do you have to state the desired length on the application of T2 dependent? Or - Is it tied explicitly to the length of the partner's working visa? Any other info that might be relevant is welcome-- Cheers in advance!
