lopburi3
If you are from most countries you will receive 60 days on arrival and can extend for another 30 days. In an emergency another 7 days would probably be allowed. But best to plan on 90 days total.
seagull
Posters should not be confused with VISA and the actual period permitted to enter and remain in Thailand by the immigration. Tourist visas are issued by embassies/consulates of Thailand with validity of travel period up to 90 days commencing on the date that has been approved. With these 3 months validity, you are permitted to enter and remain in Thailand by the Immigration for a period not more than 60 days. So you have another 30 days valid on the 90 days visa, so you extend that stay with immigration for another 30 days. Posters should not be confused with visa issued by embassies, and visa exempt of 30 days. No visa, enter and remain for 30 days. ( up to max 90 days in 180 days block). With tourist visa, you can stay in Thailand for 60 days.

lopburi3
If you can obtain a multi entry non immigrant visa by all means do so. That will allow 90 day stays for up to almost 15 months. On any of these stays, with 3-4 week remaining, you can request a one year extension of stay from Immigration when married and have family income of 40k baht per month with a three month record of this income. If you are female there is no set financial requirement.
