BANKOK, 24 May 2019 (NNT) - Ms. Kornrawee Sitthicheewaphak, Deputy Director-General of the Meteorological Department, said Thailand has already entered the rainy season. Initially, it will rain for 2-3 consecutive days then there will be less rain. Next, it is expected that there will be heavy rain in many areas due to the southwest monsoon especially in the West of South, the West of the North and the East from next week until early June.

Meanwhile, it is necessary to be on alert for tropical cyclone which could move through Thailand. The Meteorological Department will closely monitor the situation of its movement.

She has asked people and tourists to closely follow the weather forecast from the Meteorological Department if they wish to visit marine tourist attractions especially in the west coast of the South and Andaman Sea as there will still be waves in the sea due to the monsoon period.
