The Most Dangerous Road You Know

Featured Replies

Dubai roads are very dangerous. Extremely fast driving. Also Vietnam has some truely terrifying roads. Most roads in Thailand are pretty bad too. Rayong town has some bad areas.

Most major towns in Thailand are very poorly planned, contributing to the dangerous element of the roads. Only town I ever saw here that was well laid out, was in Suphanburi; because the local politico there (former PM Banharn) has enormous clout. :o

Dubai Roads

Compared to Thais, Arabs bring a new meaning to "no fear of death".

Some of the accidents in dubai are just crazzily stupid.

This beast was sitting freely on a flatbed truck, no chains or any tie down device. A crew of 5 sat bravely in the cab upfront. :o

She ain't goin nowhere, unless of course the truck driver pulls a wheelie :D

Great pics btw :D

This one came off!

Notice the little red rag above the bucket. :D

Part of my business is.... going to see my customers, who happen to be in every jungwat in thailand.

Last year, I visited over 55 jungwats, clocked up 135,000 km's. I have seen driven on every major road in thailand.

I will have to say that the most dangerous road is right in front of my house. It is a six lane highway, with a small local road that crosses from one side to the other. There is nowhere to do a u turn within 4 km's either side of this crossroad.... so all local traffic plays frogger crossing the major highway. The are two schools on either corner of the local road. Some forum readers might remeber about nine months ago when a 10 wheeler t-boned a school bus. Many kids were killed & injured. I personally helped emergency teams clear the kids from the wreckage. It was absolutely horrific. I still have bad dreams to this day about lifting mangled bodies.

Numerous other deaths have occured here over the past five years, and would you believe, not a fricken thing has been done to make the interction safer.

Stupid town planning twits cant get their act together, because the local politians can't work out how to make money from modifying the road. Pack of neanderthals, the lot of them.

Easily my worst experience in Thailand.

Soundman.

Nothing could ever happen to this guy now, until the rain washes out the force field. :o

I followed him for a few KMs and he never moved over to the left lane. My headlights are always on.

Funnily enough, I had a Led Zeppelin cd playing randomly and guess what song came on... Your Time is Gonna Come . :D
