As of Tuesday, the prosecutor had not decided whether or not to prosecute Future Forward Party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit in a case related to criticism of the junta last year.

Thanathorn had been accused of posting false information online after slamming the ruling junta via a Facebook Live feed last year.

The prosecutor will now make a decision on June 28. The authority was previously meant to make the decision on Tuesday, but deferred the action due to uncompleted legal procedures, Thanathorn’s lawyer Kritsadang Nutcharas said.

The prosecutor said the investigation report had yet to be filed because interviews with related individuals have yet to be completed, the lawyer said.

The NATION TOWER will stay it is probably the rent that people are paying for the building that kept the newspaper alive.

Yes we still get to Lampoon them as they will still be p[utting the articles her on TV.

many Canadian Newspapers have also announced that they are going digital and dropping the print.

They are having a hard time getting advertising dollars to cover the costs.

They no longer need the buildings as everything can be done from home or Starbucks for most of the reporting.

Rubbish - if he doesn't, his party will - FUTURE FORWARD (exactly that). A newly formed party that came third in the Thai General Election is remarkable and will become even more popular with the current young, or next, generations.

I hope you're right. Thailand needs new fresh politicians who aren't controlled by the old feudal patronage system.

However, exactly what the relationship of the FFP leader and owning PTP family is has yet to be seen.

If they can ban him from politics for the media shares sham, they might not bother with this case. It's not as if any of this is about law and order or right and wrong.
Exactly my thoughts, they probably got a nod not to bother with this case any more, as they will find him guilty on a much graver charge soon....

They both want to change the constitution, appointed Senate and make the electoral system fairer for the future. In addition Thanatorn (perhaps too outspoken) wants the Army out of politics and stop conscription. They are both anti elite parties.

Either way they have taken him out of play for the period of time that the government is being formed. Mission accomplished. This was critical to the junta's ability to steal this election.
