“กล้วย” means banana in Thai, "ๆ" is the repeat symbol which repeat the word in the front.

Two “กล้วย” together mean “super simple” and “super easy”.

Banana is really a mysterious fruit, and it seems to be able to find its unique meaning in every country. The Thai slang we are going to share today is 'กล้วยๆ' The literal translation is 'banana banana'. Thailand believes that some things are as simple as peeling bananas, so use the word 'กล้วย ๆ' to mean 'super simple' and 'super easy'.

There goes the dreaded 'G' again

It's kluay sir...or my ears are deceiving me.

It more the “g” sound than ค ข that have “k” sound.

But sound more like a g and k sound mix, than the English way to say it.

ไก่ chicken and ไข่ egg is good way to listen to hear different. Ask your thai friend to speak it.

More like a “g” than “k”

You can't really mention กล้วย ๆ without mentioning หมู ๆ (mǔu mǔu), which means much the same thing.  Thailand believes that some things are as simple as peeling pigs.
