Foreign Affairs Minister chairs opening session of ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network Meeting

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed his confidence that Thailand, as the ASEAN Chair, will push women to achieve equality and push women entrepreneurs in the economic sector in the ASEAN region to be widely known.

 

Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the opening session of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Network which supports the promotion of equality for men and women to be widely known. The goal is to promote, support and push women entrepreneurs in the economic sector in the ASEAN region. It is also a network of mechanisms for cooperation among women organizations that are similar to the representatives of women in the economic sector of ASEAN member states. It is aimed at creating a good atmosphere for the organizations led by women and women entrepreneurs in the region.

 

The Foreign Affairs Minister said this is one of the important events of ASEAN for the development of work under the three main pillars, focusing on the economy for strengthening and enhancing power of women in order to achieve equality. Many countries in ASEAN now have succeeded and will help strengthen ASEAN.

 

Thailand, as the Chairman of ASEAN, has tried to steer the partnership of ASEAN countries, encourage them to push all issues and dimensions in a sustainable manner, accessing markets through a digital channel, supporting access to financial services, enhancing skills for small and medium enterprises and small entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs and workers and steering leadership in ASEAN women to the world community.
