hi everyone,am looking for info on how and where to apply for a long stay visa for Laos.Am thinking of relocating with thai girlfriend.Can someone point me in the right direction.

I do not know, but CONGRATULATIONS for pulling the trigger.   Laos is wonderful, as is Vietnam, far less Immigration BS; food is diverse and delicious (try the egg coffee), people are kind and shy; and they will NOT try to kill you on the road unlike Thai roads - death is a prerequisite. 

I wish you much happiness ahead with your maverick decision.  Some how, everything WILL work out...

thanks,....have been many times for a holiday in the past.Will go for a few days and seek out expats advice in vientiane.
