webfact
Myanmar worker arrested for allegedly killing Thai boss in Chiang Mai By The Nation FILE photo//Goole maps A pay dispute led to a Myanmar worker being arrested on Monday night for allegedly murdering his Thai employer in Chiang Mai’s Sarapee district, police said. Aung Sun, 35, told police that Sunthorn Rungchotechuang, 56, a construction contractor, refused to pay him his wage for 12 days of work, worth Bt4,200. Aung Sun said when he demanded Sunthorn pay up, the boss refused and scolded him, and so Aung Sun beat him out of anger. His son, Permsook Rungchotechuang, 18, told police that he saw Aung Sun talking to his father before they quarrelled and Aung Sun grabbed a piece of iron sheet and hit his father repeatedly. Permsook said after his father had fallen, Aung Sun then took a spade to hit his head. Permsook said he called neighbours to help capture Aung Sun and handed over him to police. Nowisee
Surprised it doesn't happen more often. These migrant workers are stressed emotionally and financially. Pay them for the work they do. Stop ripping people off.
