Nationwide activities celebrating HM King’s birthday

BANGKOK (NNT) - Activities are being held across the country to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday, on 28th July 2019

 

Starting with the House of Representatives, Speaker of the House of Representatives Chuan Leekpai, along with deputy house speakers, have led members of the House of Representatives, members of the Cabinet, government officials, and employees of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, to sign their well-wishes to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, along with the declaration by members of the house of representatives and government officials to be good civil servants and the power of the land.

 

The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has joined hands with the Police General Hospital to provide mobile medical services at Ban Bang Khae Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons honoring His Majesty the King. The activity was presided over by the Minister of Social Development and Human Security Chuti Krairerk, who has invited the general public to help take care of elders, underprivileged persons, and orphans.

 

Officials from the Election Commission has joined in a ceremony declaring themselves good employees and the power of the land on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday. They also joined in the singing of the Royal Anthem and signed their royal birthday greetings.

 

In Chiang Mai province, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Manat Kansai, presided over a lunch for 2,300 inmates at Chang Mai Women’s Correctional Institution honoring His Majesty the King. The event was held with the cooperation of the Chiang Mai Provincial Red Cross Chapter, provincial government agencies, and local administrations, who also delivered personal items and basic medicine donated by sponsoring agencies to inmates.

 

In Saraburi, royally bestowed meals were offered to unemployed persons, elders, persons with disabilities, and persons in need, at a life skills promotion and development center in Muak Lek district, honoring His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.

 

In Trat, 4 million baby banana shrimps and flower crabs have been released into the sea at Sai Song Si beach in Khlong Yai district honoring His Majesty the King and raising public awareness on the values, conservation, and restoration of marine animal resources.

 

In Chonburi, a waterway renovation volunteer activity was held to celebrate His Majesty the King’s birthday this year at Chong Mafueang reservoir, Muang Chonburi district, helping develop the dam for public benefit and raising public awareness of the protection of public facilities.
