What is the best way to treat a dog for worm prevention?

You can get the deworming liquid they use for children a your local pharmacy and use that. Benda 500 I think it's called. 

Go to any vet and get a tablet.  The one for my dog cost 60 Baht.  

I usually do get a tablet from the vet. I was just doing a Google search and some websites say, they should have a second dose 2 weeks after the first and some say they should be treated every 3-4 months.

 

Very confusing.

Just get tablet at vet,put in in piece of bread,meat,throw it in

air, dog will catch it and swallow,job done,ask vet how often

need to do, now try and get a cat to eat a worm tablet !

 I take care of the temple dogs and they eat all kinds of junk. They get Heartguard, but I know that doesn't kill all kinds of worms. I've bought worm tablets from the vet before, but not sure just what kind of worms they kill.

 

 When I ask the vet how often to give the tablets, she just says,  Up to you. Not really the answer I want.

You can't prevent dogs getting worms especially teme dogs all you can do is what you are doing now it's better than most owned dods get

Don't panic you are doing all you can worms ait the worst mange is worse and then you get to rabies

 One of the dogs did have mange. The vet couldn't cure it, then I heard about Nexguard. After 3 months on Nexguard, she was mange free.
