ramrod711
I use OFX to transfer funds from Canada to Bangkok Bank in thailand every month. I have noticed that once my bankbook is updated to show the transfer and new balance, that it no longer has FTT printed beside it. Recently it has become BTN, I'm not sure if Immigration would accept that as a foreign transfer so I asked Bangkok Bank what the code means. Baht Thai Network is a local (within Thailand) transfer. I called OFX, they changed local banks to Deutsche bank and thus it is a local transfer. Bangkok Bank says they can provide a statement which shows the path of the transfer and should satisfy Immigration. The statement is expected to take one week and cost Two hundred baht. Just a heads up to anyone that uses OFX, do not wait until the last minute to assemble your financial proof of income for an extension of stay.
