Hi all,

I'm currently on a WP based on a Non-B visa issued in Singapore w/ the regular annual extension of stay.

At this stage, I've been wanting to change my company and have recieved some promising offers.

One such offer is from an extremely small company that started up a little over 2 months ago.

The 2 founders are farang and they have 5 local employees working for them.

Would they qualify to obtain / facilitate a work permit for me?

What criteria would they have to satisfy in order to do so?

Assuming these requirements are satisfied, what are the steps to re-apply for / change a WP when you're changing companies?

I'm an Indian national btw,

Thanks!

Depends if the founders are both required to sign for your work permit or if the company was set up with only one signature needed.

Depends if anyone is married to a Thai?

The lowest registered capital required for the work permits would be 2 million Baht required and the most registered capital could be 6 million Baht. ( unless they have BOI approval)

The biggest problem you'll encounter is with the visa. (Unless they have BOI approval) You have an extension of stay based on business. The new company will not be able to get you this (unless they have been trading for more than a year.) and meet other criteria. ( They will need 12 Thai employees)

This would be your only option for a start up company. You would need to get this in India.
