Kanokwan Wilawal

Deputy Education Minister Kanokwan Wilawal said on Monday that she is developing a course about marijuana for schools.

Kanokwan said the course, which has been given the name “Ganja Pha Rien Witthayasart” or “Learning Science with Marijuana” aims to teach the benefits and drawbacks of marijuana in all dimensions.

The course will provide proper study material to learners in accordance with their age, she added.

She said the course development would take a while because it would need cooperation from all agencies concerned, including the Chaopraya Abhaiphubejhr Hospital and some universities.

The minister added that she needs time to gather more information before deciding which grades will have the marijuana course added to the studies.
