A thread I read recently on the net has me wondering how far Thai food companies will go.

A long-term resident posted M-150 flavored ice cream. Commenters reported these:

• M-150 ice cream, apparently around 8 baht. People immediately asked whether it has the caffeine.

• Nestle x Lay's ice cream. Two people who tried it couldn't decide if they liked it. One said it tasted like salty butterscotch.

• Cheese ice cream with a Dorito-style dust shell. One person called it a bit gross but has bought it several times.

• A cone that looks like it involves fried chicken. One traveller said this was where they drew the line.

• Beer Chang soft serve at a Central World beer garden 15-20 years ago. Reported as exactly as bad as it sounds.

• Pizza with crab sticks, hot dogs and mayo.

So what's the strangest food, dessert or drink combo you've come across here? Did you try it, and would you eat it again?

It wasn't under the "fusion food" section - and the cheese not mentioned in the menue.

A No-Go. And he really thought it was a brilliant idea.

In China, green tea everything - crisps, ice-cream, kit kats and more.

And, pineapple beer.
