Procedure for a re-entry permit?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I have a few questions about re-entry permits:

1. Can I get one if on a single-entry tourist visa?

2. How do I get one? When departing or when arriving at immigration in Thailand?

3. Anything I need to do in advance or is it okay just to show up?

4. Do I need to notify immigration that I'll be coming back when I get stamped out?

5. Is re-entry still 1000 baht?

I'm going off of the information at this link: https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/re-entry-permit-thailand.php

Thanks for your help!

Dave

I'll move your post to the correct forum, this one is for those seeking advice regarding visas and to travel to countries other than Thailand.

I understand that you can buy a re-entry permit at the airports in Bangkok, you can just pitch up, but do so at the desk in Immigration before you're stamped out.

1. Yes.

2. Complete form TM8. From a local Immigration office or on departure at the airport.

3. Copies of passport photo page, current Visa, TM6 card, last entry stamp.

4. No.

5. Yes.

I also needed 2 Photos...

1,000 THB single entry or 3,500 Multi-entry (not worth doing if you're on an SETV as you're unlikely to travel out > 3 times in the 60 days but worth considering if you're on an 1-year Visa/EoS).
