A supporter involved in Restore Britain’s campaign for the Holborn & St Pancras by-election has previously made comments claiming that “Jewish ideas” were responsible for problems in Britain, according to material examined by the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

Tyler Johnson was confirmed as Restore Britain’s candidate for the Camden constituency on September 16. His official proposer was Patrick McGinnis, leader and co-founder of the National Housing Party.

Candidate’s proposer made comments about Jewish people

A video filmed by McGinnis in 2024 included claims that the media was “controlled by Zionists” and that “Jewish ideas are destroying our country”. The video, titled Jewish ideas are destroying our country, not Islamic ones, was published on the Odyssey platform in May 2024.

McGinnis also discussed immigration, saying he did not want Muslims, Africans, Asians, Polish or Russian people settling permanently in Britain. He said he did not advocate removing migrants who were legally settled.

He went on to blame what he described as “Jewish ideas” for issues including what he called “transgenderism” in schools.

Another campaign figure faces scrutiny

Lewis Holmes has also been linked to the Restore campaign through a Facebook account in his name and photographs showing him with campaign material, according to the LDRS.

The account included comments calling for people from what it described as “third world” countries to be deported and claiming that migrants came from cultures “incompatible with the British way of life”.

The LDRS reported that photographs from the account celebrated activists leafleting locally on behalf of Restore.

By-election campaign faces questions over links

Restore leader Rupert Lowe has said the party would not win Holborn & St Pancras, attributing this to what he described as “mass immigration”. He has instead presented the contest as an opportunity to send a political message about London.

The by-election was triggered after former prime minister Sir Keir Starmer resigned his seat.

The LDRS contacted Restore Britain, Johnson, McGinnis and Holmes for comment. The National Housing Party responded by calling the LDRS “an Anti-White Christ Hater”.
