Another Driving License Question!

For renewing the temporary 2 year to your first 5 year for both a bike and car is it required to take 2 immigration resident letters, one for each license? I've read somewhere that that is the case and can't remember what I did 2 years ago.

 

Sounds ludicrous to me but in Thailand looks like it would make perfect sense to someone.

Depends on your local DLT, just call them and ask.

Although in my case, renewal from 5 year to 5 year, in Pattaya, one original and a copy sufficed.

When you renew you Car and Motorcycle DL at the same time, do you take the test only 1 time for both, or do you have to take each test twice.

I just did this a couple of weeks back (in Nong Chok, BKK).

The requirement is two letters. One letter says 'for car' and one letter says 'for motorbike. The letters are not identical.
