Playing cards are forbidden? To bring into the country you mean? You can certainly buy playing cards here. I wouldn't worry about it and bring them anyway.

Playing cards are not forbidden in Thailand.

I have , in my posession , a standard deck of cards marked on the box

"Made in Thailand". I believe I bought them in a 7/11 store in Patong.

You will probably , with the aid of a good lawyer , avoid imprisonment.

Thai people know the difference between playing cards and tarot cards,

so shouldnt be a problem.
