Transitvisa extenstion possible?

Featured Replies

So I ask for a friend of mine that was 2 weeks ago in Savannakhet Laos to apply for a new tourist visa.

They checked his passport at the consulate and gave it back and said not possible , to many TV and to much history. He asked the buss/agent company that arrange for the trip what do do now and they suggested apply again for transit visa and he did that and that worked , he got 30 days and was told by the buss/agent that he could extend this another 30 days in Bangkok immigration.

This company had also promised him when he booked ticket in Bangkok that it would not be any problem to get one more TV but that was wrong so I would not trust any of this buss/visa trip companies as rules can change overnight.(Yes they did check his passport before he went to Lao with them and said no problem)

So question is can he get the transit visa extend or get a new 30day transit visa in Immigration in BBK? Any one actually manage to do this?

He need the extra time to get all in order to get a Non-O visa.

The 30 day entry from a transit visa cannot be extended.

Only entries from a tourist visa or a visa exempt entry can be extended.

From the police order.
